Bologna F.C. 1909 is planning the future of its squad, and one of the names at the top of the list is Nicolò Casale. After two disappointing seasons, the Casteldebole club has decided to part ways with the Veronese defender, who has not convinced with his performances. The need for a shorter squad and more effective players has pushed the management to seek a new arrangement for Casale. His contract expires in 2028, but the club does not foresee a third year for him. There are no shortage of requests in Serie A, and the most likely solution seems to be a loan with an option to buy. This would allow Casale the time to play and prove his worth, something that Bologna F.C. 1909 cannot guarantee without European competitions. With Sartori and Di Vaio already at work, Casale's future seems destined to take a new direction, away from Bologna.
